How can Made Green help my company or website?
Your website is the first place a potential customer looks when profiling your company. They will make a decision within seconds of landing on your homepage of whether or not your site merits a further look. A professionally produced video is extremely effective at keeping visitors on your site, and will communicate within seconds:
(1) your credibility and professionalism
(2) your unique value proposition
(3) the testimony of satisfied, loyal clients
These are fundamentals of any business relationship. Can you be trusted, how does your product/service fulfill a client's needs, and how do your clients feel about your service/product? A Made Green video will communicate these key elements to every visitor of your website.
How is Made Green different from other video production companies?
Made Green has developed an efficient production process, and is a certified green business by the Bay Area Green Business Program. We maintain a small footprint throughout all phases of production. We choose just the right amount of equipment to deliver the highest quality product. We operate fuel efficient, carbon-nuetralized vehicles, shoot with energy-efficient lights, and choose green-certified vendors for a majority of our services.
There are no static definitions or universal benchmarks in the path for sustainability. We have intentionally chosen this path because it will push us towards delivering greater efficiency and value to our clients.
What can I do with my video once its finished?
Once finished, your video can be used in many different ways. Made Green will upload the video to your channel on a web-based streaming service provider, such as WellcomeMat. Tools to easily link, e-mail, and embed your video will be available in the video player. With these functions, you can provide links to the video in e-mail marketing and on websites, as well as directly embed the video on your own website (take a look at our 'Home' page for an example of embedded videos). You will also be given a Video Data Disc that will contain your video in a high-quality Flash version, ready for upload onto streaming content providers of your choice. For an additional fee, your video will be available on a broadcast-quality DVD. The DVD can be played on TV screens and monitors, for instance in your business location, or used to broadcast your video on local TV channels. Videos needed for in-house viewing can be stored and shared on DVD, and displayed on a company Intranet system.
How can I market my video online?
Your video will be an ideal online tool to market your service and skills. It can be used to introduce new and prospective clients when they visit your website, recieve your e-mail marketing, and view blogs and online videos related to your service. Your video embedded in a Craigslist posting, for example, will attract and engage an online shopper browsing for services. A link to your video placed in an industy-related blog thread will likewise attract attention from potential clients. Uploading your video to other streaming content providers such as YouTube and Myspace (there are many more), will also attract potential clients as they search for your services online.
To get you started, Made Green will upload your video to a streaming content provider website such as WellcomeMat. The WellcomeMat video player easily allows you to email and provide links to your video on your own or another website, and within pdf documents and email blasts. The 'embed' function allows the full video player to display directly on the webpage of your choice-- you may want to start with your own website!
What kind of video can I expect?
The core component of a Made Green video is an honest and natural portrayal of your company and the people who run it. We encourage our clients to appear on camera and speak with honesty and clarity about their business and their vision. We'll capture this message through relaxed, conversational interviews with you, the business owner, key members of your staff, and testimonials from former clients, rather than with scripts and actors. In this way, your video will communicate to clients with an integrity and honesty that a glossy, big budget video just can't achieve.
We will work closely with you to ensure that your message is conveyed and all deliverables are met on time and on budget. Your video will not only be seen on your website; it can be shared through emails, embedded on other websites, and viewed on any device that supports video.
Can I appear in my own video?
Of course! We encourage all our clients to appear on camera, and we will guide you through the process, ensuring your comfort and confidence on camera. We appreciate that this can be an intimidating experience for many of our clients, but for today’s consumer, your voice is more authentic than a hired actor. Your customers will appreciate seeing and hearing you talk about your product.
Do you ever work with actors?
Made Green does not encourage the use of actors in our client's videos. The greatest impression you can make in today’s marketplace is one that conveys authenticity and transparency. We believe that the most effective spokesperson for your product or service is you, the business owner! Do actors greet your clients as they walk through the door? Does a professional voice-over artist answer your business phone? Today’s savvy consumer has seen and heard it all. What they haven’t seen or heard is you!
Who owns the copyrights to the completed video?
Though Made Green retains the official copyright to the completed video, our clients can use their video for any promotional, non-commercial purpose they choose. We will use the completed video only for demonstration purposes, such as our demo reels.
What is 'embedded' video?
An embedded video is a video player that is hosted by a streaming content provider, such as WellcomeMat or YouTube, and then placed onto a web page using a simple html code. The embedding tool allows you to easily put a video onto your webpage without hassling with encoding and bandwidth.
To embed a video onto your website, a simple html code must be entered into your webpage. Many streaming video players feature an 'embed' button or the embed code that can be copied and pasted directly into the html of your website. Here's an example of a typical embedding code:
<embed src="http://www.madegreensf.com/wm_video/18CE5B27A3" allowFullScreen="true" quality="high" wmode="transparent" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/go/getFlashPlayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="359"></embed>
Entering this code into the html of your webpage allows an entire video to appear on the page, ready to be viewed by visitors to your website! Check out our 'Home' page for examples of embedded videos.
